The SONUS line is driven by Viscount’s Internationally Patented Physis® Physical Modeling Technology. In addition to Physis®, the SONUS line of organs has a revolutionary new internal audio system called RAR™ (Real Audio Rendering™). Viscount’s RAR™ technology represents a significant step forward in terms of definition, spatiality and body of the sound, which is the most authentic way yet to create that magical effect of the most important organ stop on an organ– ‘the room’.

The heart of the system is a powerful real time sound processing algorithm in conjunction with new additional audio channels located at specific points on the console. RAR™ recreates the acoustic field produced by a real pipe organ in a large reverberant space. Sitting at the console of the new Viscount SONUS, without the use of an external sound system, you will experience the most realistic impression of countless organs from around the world.
